Additional information:
The Mammoth Pacific Power Plants, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, are fueled by geothermal brine from the Casa Diablo Hot Springs. Mammoth Pacific I was built in 1984 and generates10 megawatts. The two other projects were built in 1990 and generate 15 megawatts. The power from all three projects is sold to Southern California Edison. The projects consist of 12 production wells and 8 injection wells. A total of eight single-stage, radial-flow gas expanders are used.
