| The GEM (Geo East Mesa) facility includes GEM II and GEM III, which are adjacent to the Ormesa Complex at the East Mesa Geothermal Field. Ormesa II was preceded by Ormesa I, a binary plant that came online in 1979 and was retired in 1994. The GEM facility has no power purchase agreement and instead supplies plant usage power to the four Ormesa power plants and associated well field pumps. |
