Every year, the Geothermal Energy Conference and Expo (formerly GEA Trade Show and GRC Annual Meeting) host a wide range of companies from the U.S. and abroad within the geothermal power industry. Geothermal Energy 2008 was held at the Peppermill, Reno’s premiere hotel and casino in Reno, Nevada. The Expo Hall was open to visitors October 5-8, 2008.

The Expo was hosted by the Geothermal Energy Association(GEA), the U.S. geothermal industry trade organization. Over 1800 people walked the Expo floor. Exhibition was up with 105 booths and 79 exhibitors. This is a 65% increase from the 2007 Expo.

The Geothermal Energy Association (GEA) and the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) hold cooperating events. GEA, the trade association of the geothermal industry, hosts the annual Geothermal Expo.
